Abstract
This text has the objective to present a relevant aspect that appeared along the fieldwork of the Doctorate. The research has the focus to investigate the narrative production of the children and the question that orients me concerns on how children are making their histories in the present time. I understand the narrative here as the histories invented by the children in situations that enables a more freely expression, and in order to make the moment of the children‟s story production happen, 8 workshops were proposed with duration of approximately two and a half months in three different environments: a public school, a private school and a cultural space in a mountain city near the capital of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The workshop attended children of 7 to 11 years old in each one of the environments.
I will try to bring here, briefly, some of the questions observed and/or experienced with them to make a reflection by dialoguing with Vigotsky‟s book that discuss specifically the imagination and the art in the childhood, as well as the reflections of authors of the Latin American Cultural Studies like Néstor Canclini and Jesús Martín-Barbero. Our interest here, in this moment, is to bring an analysis of some aspects of the observations that were made during the narrative process of the children, dialoguing with the theoretical background.
