Abstract

In this article, we analyze student movements in Chile and Brazil. The article describes the context in which these movements arise in both countries and their main demands and impacts on educational policies. Despite the different realities, we highlight the common aspects of these movements. Conceptually, it is assumed that these movements reflect new modes of collective action and political socialization of students, impact public debate and influence policies, regulations and resources allocated in the field of education.
