Abstract
This paper discusses aspects of multimedia learning from a qualitative research with a case study at a school participating in the One Computer per Student Program in order to reflect upon the laptop uses in the teaching-learning process. By contextualizing aspects of the technology introduction public policies in the schools, it outlines the bases of the model 1:1 and the possibilities of a multimedia teaching-learning focusing on multiple languages, from a didactic intervention as well as from student’s perceptions about the laptop. Finally, it presents some considerations about possible meanings of multimedia practices in school and their mediations in digital culture.
