Abstract
The text is the result of a study of the production of children and youth’s fiction and nonfiction stories, in a post war context, in former Yugoslavia, and ethnic conflicts, in a public school of New York City. From a socio-historical approach, it takes the children and youth’s points of view and seeks broadening the inquiries which take the attitudes of the ones who grew up during or after armed conflict as pathology or damage.
