Abstract
The study related the use of self-regulated learning strategies with the perception of academic performance of incoming university students. The research is quantitative, therefore, using an electronic form, the following instruments were applied to the 70 participants: Characterization sheet and Learning Strategies Scale for University Students. The results indicate that there are positive correlations between the use of self-regulated learning strategies and the perception of academic performance. They also indicate that, throughout the first semester of graduation, there was an increase in the use of only social self-regulation learning strategies. Given the challenges encountered by incomers in the context of University Education and the importance of the construct investigated, institutionalized actions are proposed in order to promote it.
