Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been a promising ally in education, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. This paper aimed at discussing the impacts of AI on education, explore how this technology can be used to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of teaching, as well as to personalize student learning. The methodology consisted of a qualitative literature review using free databases, in which the main AI technologies in use in education were identified, as well as the challenges and limitations associated with their incorporation. Solutions and strategies were proposed to maximize the potential of AI in improving the teaching-learning process. The results evidenced that AI can contribute to personalize learning, create more autonomous educational environments, optimize student assessment, among others. However, it is fundamental to consider the ethical implications of the use of AI.
