Abstract
Considered as attributes for good performance in professional life, generic competences are related to knowledge, skills and attitudes, also developed during higher education. The study aimed to describe self-assessments related to the development of these skills and their importance for work, responded by 499 graduates from five undergraduate courses with an interdisciplinary model, from a Brazilian public university, graduated between 2015 and 2019. Online responses to the Scale of Generic Competences for Graduates were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The skills “ability to work in a team” and “ethical commitment” obtained the highest averages of good development. There were negative discrepancies between what was developed in the course and the importance for the work.
